Ultra-processed food intake linked to risk of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease

Research published in Nutrients has identified a link between the consumption of ultra-processed food, and the risk of developing non-alcoholic fatty liver disease due to the high caloric value of UPF, saturated fats, high salt content, use of artificial sweeteners and monosodium glutamate.
