Scientists have measured levels of cortisol from the saliva of a group of young men before, during and after a stressful situation designed to cause frustration. Levels of cortisol rose dramatically in average adolescents, whereas in those with a history of anti-social behaviour, cortisol levels decreased during the experiment.
