A joint statement from the American Thyroid Association, the European Association of Nuclear Medicine, the European Thyroid Association and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging advises on accurate risk assessment during perioperative care for guiding better thyroid cancer treatment. The statement is published in Thyroid and challenges the traditional approach to risk stratification for thyroid cancer treatment.
