The Dunedin School of Medicine, in association with the Otago District Health Board (Otago DHB), seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Paediatrics and Child Health within the Department of Women's and Children's Health at the University of Otago, to be held concurrently with a Consultant Paediatrician post with the Otago DHB. This is a full-time confirmation (tenure-track) joint clinical University/District Health Board post. Half the position will be academic duties (research, teaching, and community service) combined with a one-in-five general paediatric roster which includes neonatal intensive care. The appointee will take direct responsibility for the Paediatrics Ward or Newborn Intensive Care Unit for up to 13 weeks per year. Generally two outpatient clinics will be run each week. An applicant with special interests in one of the following specialties would be welcome: respiratory medicine, gastroenterology, infectious disease, oncology or developmental/behavioural paediatrics or endocrinology.
