Policy and Public Affairs position at Breast Cancer Campaign

Via guardianjobs. This role requires someone to lead Campaign’s Policy and Public Affairs department on relevant policy and campaigning issues. This will involve identifying, researching and developing policy positions on breast cancer and medical research issues. You will analyse public policy, identify key barriers and participate in developing recommendations to underpin campaigns, responses to consultative documents, production of policy papers, including briefings, submissions, speeches and reports and communicating Campaign’s mission to a political audience.

You will be of exceptional calibre with a passion for science, research and health, and the rights of those with breast cancer and those researching it. You should have an understanding of issues relating to breast cancer and carrying out research in the UK and Ireland. The closing date for submission of your CV and covering letter is 22 June 2009. Interviews will be held between 23 June and 3 July 2009.
