Effects of polymorphisms on IGF2 dependent growth

08 May 2009

A study by Rezgui et al. has used quantitative PCR, 35S pulse chase and flow cytometry to show no direct effects of the Gly1619Arg polymorphism in IGF2R, a transport receptor implicated in growth phenotype. The authors conclude that further evaluation of genetic polymorphisms is needed to understand the correlation between IGF2R and impaired childhood growth. DOI: 10.1677/JME-08-0154
