This competition is open to all students registered for a higher degree in the UK or Ireland at the time of essay submission (eg a Masters course or research degree such as MPhil/PhD/MDRes or equivalent). The rewards include a cash prize and a unique little gem for your CV.

You can choose to write on any aspect of endocrinology, but the essay should be readily understood by an educated lay person. The essay must also enhance the public understanding of the subject.

A £1000 prize is available to the winning entrant, and a number of runner-up prizes and highly commended certificates will also be issued to other exceptional submissions.
