Acromegaly
Acromegaly is a condition that develops due to overproduction of growth hormone caused by a benign tumour of the pituitary gland. It leads to an increase in size of hands and feet, thickening of the skin and a change in the appearance of the face.

Addison's disease is caused by damage to the adrenal glands which make hormones to control the body’s response to stress and balance body salt and water. Treatment is with tablets and some lifestyle adaptations to ensure patients remain well.
