Fenofibrate may be cardiovascular protective treatment for diabetes

Data from the French ACCORD Lipid trial, published in Diabetes Care, indicate that fenofibrate treatment combined with simvastatin may reduce cardiovascular related morbidity and mortality in type 2 diabetes patients.
