Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist in Endocrinology and Late Effects vacancy

The University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB) NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a new Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist in Endocrinology and Late Effects. This exciting opportunity will allow you to contribute towards the provision of excellent patient care and you will be given full training and supervision to develop your skills in this area.

The endocrine service at UHB centres round a busy outpatient department and you will play a key role in developing this service, in particular the nurse-led clinics, as well as supporting other areas of endocrinology including the day case and in-patient activities.

You will be expected to perform autonomously both in clinic and ward environment by developing and managing nurse-led clinics, developing audit tools and clinical protocols/guidelines, leading audit/research activities, developing and delivering patient/staff education programmes, performing dynamic function testing and other specialist screening/investigations/procedures for endocrine patients.

To apply you must be registered with the NMC, educated at least to degree level with proven experience at Band 6 level in acute care settings. Deadline for applications is 26 April.
