Two BBSRC-funded PhD studenships at the University of Bristol

Via www.jobs.ac.uk. Two four year PhD studentships are being offered by the University of Bristol, based at the Henry Wellcome Laboratories for Integrative Neuroscience & Endocrinology (LINE). The studentships are funded by the BBSRC and will include taught elements from the university's MSc in Molecular Neuroscience programme, details of which can be found at the link below. Applicants will have the choice of four projects to choose from: 1. Pathways for oxytocin-induced calcium sensitization in human myometrial cells. 2. The role of transcription factor Creb3l1 in hypothalamic remodeling. 3. The APJ receptor as a novel regulator of water balance, the stress response and endocrine functions. 4. Significance of epigenetic mechanisms in dentate gyrus neurons in stress-related learning and memory processes.
