During ECE 2009 the following prizes were awarded: The Geoffrey Harris prize was awarded to Professor Jan-Ake Gustafsson (Sweden). ESE would like to thank the sponsor Ipsen for their continued and generous support of this prize. The European Journal of Endocrinology prize was awarded to Professor Wiebke Arlt (UK).

Six Young Investigator awards were presented to: Dr Guillaume Assie (France) for HTC3, Dr Marco Bonomi (Italy) for OC3.3, Dr Ercument Dirice (Turkey) for OC2.1, Dr Nabil Mtiraoui (Tunisia) for P178, Dr Sebastian Neggers (Netherlands) for HTC5 and Dr Zsofia Tombol (Hungary) for OC1.4.

In addition to this, four Poster prizes were also awarded to: Dr Mar Alvarez-Pedrerol (Spain) for poster P507 (Clinical), Dr Morgane Pertuit (France) for poster P678 (Basic), Dr Talita Romanatto (Brazil) for poster P440 (Basic) and Dr Katerina Saltiki (Greece) for poster P355 (Clinical).
