Metformin may reduce mortality risk in patients with COVID-19 and type 2 diabetes

Patients with type 2 diabetes who take the diabetes drug, metformin, may have a threefold decrease in mortality risk from COVID-19, according to a study published in Frontiers in Endocrinology.
