Specialist Nurse (Endocrinology, MRI), Manchester

10 Jul 2009

Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are offering the position of Specialist Nurse (Endocrinology, MRI) on a Band 6 salary £24,831-£33,436 pro rata (30 hours per week). Expansion of the Endocrinology Service within the past year has resulted in the requirement for a registered nurse to join the existing specialist nurse within the department and a recent peer review of the department identified the excellent working within the professions. Certain groups of endocrinology patients do not require urgent access to medical staff and respond to support & guidance from nurses, thus expansion in this area is essential.

Experience of dealing with patients who have lifelong chronic disease and a passion to improve services for these patients & their families are desirable for this post. The nurse will be required to provide specialist advice & input to the Programmed Investigation Unit. The specific and complex nature of these investigations requires appropriate input to ensure these are maintained in a timely and appropriate manner. The band 6 nurse will ensure provision of continuity within the endocrine service. For an informal chat please contact Christine Gibson on 0161 276 1234 or Lisa Dunn 0161 276 4503. To apply online, click on the link below. The closing date for applications is 24 July 2009.
