Via healthjobsuk.com. A vacancy for a full time Endocrine Specialist Nurse has arisen at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The new post holder will be joining a friendly, forward-looking and ambitious multi-disciplinary team caring for the full spectrum of endocrine disorders. The team consists of six Endocrine consultants, six SPR's an Endocrine Specialist Nurse and five Clinic Nurses.

This post will facilitate the development of nurse-led services and the successful candidate will manage a clinical caseload, whilst contributing to the enhancement of endocrine nursing by acting as a credible role model, educator and expert clinician. In addition to the provision of clinical care and development of training packages, he / she will be closely involved in establishing and developing interdisciplinary care plathways, protocols and audits. There will be opportunities to contribute to research and training.

Experience in Endodrine practice is desirable as is practical experience in undertaking Nurse led Clinics. There are weekly multi-disciplinary meetings with radiology and biochemistry. Team meetings for education and development are held regularly with twice-weekly post-clinic discussion forums.
