10 Nov 2009

The Society is pleased to announce that our Chief Executive, Sue Thorn, has been invited to become a Fellow of the Society of Biology and has been appointed Chair of its Membership, Marketing and Communications Committee. The Society of Biology is a new organisation, formed from the unification of the Biosciences Federation and Institute of Biology, to provide a single, unified voice for biology.

This prestigious appointment sees Sue take on the first term of leadership for one of the Society of Biology’s two Principal Committees. As the leading professional body in biology, representing learned societies as well as individual members, the Society of Biology has recognised Sue’s potential to provide first class membership initiatives to enable the biological community to work together to strengthen the biological sciences in the UK.
