A total of 174 candidates sat the second diet of the examination held on 30 June 2010; 97 (56%) were in a UK training programme and 19 candidates had taken advantage of the free re-sit scheme. These numbers are a marked increase on last year when only 39 candidates in total sat the examination. Results are expected to be available on the MRCP website (http://www.mrcpuk.org/SCE/Pages/Results.aspx) in the week ending 30 July 2010.
