Patient Support Group Grants for telephone helpline training - applications now open

28 Sep 2010

In addition to its roles in educating the public, scientists and doctors, the Society for Endocrinology takes an active interest in the welfare of patients with endocrine conditions, and ensuring that those who support them have access to good training and information.

The Society for Endocrinology telephone helpline training grants scheme provides funding for staff of patient groups that support patients with endocrine conditions to attend a course in telephone helpline skills, run by the Telephone Helplines Association. The courses on offer can help the group to set up a telephone helpline for its members or strengthen the capabilities of an existing telephone helpline.

Please follow the link below for more information on applying for a grant, including eligibility criteria and conditions of the grant. The deadline for applications is 5pm, 29 October 2010.
