Osteoporosis drugs to carry fracture risk warning in US (BBC News Online, 19 October 2010)

The US Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) now requires that all bisphosphonate drugs (used to treat osteoporosis) now carry a warning label detailing a potential side effect of the drug that could increase the risk of a rare type of fracture. Regulators in the UK are also looking into these reports.
