Urgent request for information on behalf of GH-2004 research project

24 Dec 2010

The following is a request made to ESE members by the GH-2004 research project:

As part of a Validation Study where we have to demonstrate to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) that we can transfer the assay methodology for IGF-I and P-III-P from the London WADA laboratory to the Rome laboratory and obtain similar results we need some SERUM samples (2ml or more) from patients with ACROMEGALY or post rhGH samples, with HIGH IGF-I levels. We are on a very tight time schedule with UK Ant-Doping Agency and WADA and are seeking help from members who have samples that might be suitable in their freezers and who no longer need them.

If anyone has such samples we would be most appreciative of being allowed to use them. We will cover the full (reasonable) costs of packaging and transporting them to our laboratory.

Would anyone who can help please contact Professor Peter Sonksen (phsonksen@aol.com) as soon as possible.
