The metabolic disease group at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute applies genetic and genomic approaches to understand the aetiology of various metabolic diseases.

This position involves analysis of large datasets from various patient cohorts focusing on common metabolic disease (type 2 diabetes, obesity and underlying quantitative traits) as well as rare extreme disease phenotypes (severe insulin resistance and early onset obesity).
